
Why Coaching?
You don’t have to have some major issue going on before taking action to make your life better. If you are feeling blah or stuck or empty or unsettled….spending a bit of time to figure this out can be LIFE CHANGING. That's where coaching comes in...it's an investment in yourself and your future. A lot of us get stuck on a hamster wheel and go through months or even years thinking….I’ll figure this out. As a life coach, my job is to help you get to your best self FASTER! I’m your sounding board, reality-checker, brainstorming ally and accountability partner. Together we'll create change that would be hard, maybe impossible, for you to do on your own! Let's begin your transformational journey!
Coaching vs. Therapy
While both life coaches and therapists aim to support individuals in their personal development, their approaches are different. Life coaches are more future-focused. They work with their client to uncover where they are now, where they want to be and what is holding them back. Therapists typical address past pain and use a more clinical approach. Therapy is the right fit for addressing trauma and diagnosable mental health concerns. The two methodologies are quite different and some people find it helpful to work with a therapist and a coach.
My Approach
My coaching approach is based on my core values of kindness, compassion, curiosity, honesty, patience and simplicity. I create a safe, non-judgemental, accepting space that allows my client to settle in and begin processing. I genuinely love talking with people, hearing their unique stories and seeing their untapped potential. I believe in matching my clients energy and moving at their pace. I guide my client through Jay Shetty’s ABC framework to gain clarity, set SMART goals, build habits, challenge comfort zones, self-reflect and create change. Some of the areas we explore are:
